An invitation to join Dr. Walter Drew’s 1st Book Club community starting February 16, 2022.
Do you enjoy reading books that will expand your professional practice? Do you like the idea of being a part of a community of like-minded, open-hearted play people? You have come to the right place!
In February, we’ll be reading Self Active Play: Awakens Creativity, Empowers Self Discovery, Inspires Optimism by Dr. Walter F. Drew and Dr. Marcia L. Nell. Self Active Play shares with readers the principles and experiences of 30+ years of exploring play through the Institute for Self Active Education and hundreds of children and educators.
We hope our reading will be strengthened by comments, stories, and discussions connected to our monthly reading. Book Club membership is free and a private Facebook group has been set up to keep all registered members connected. Our virtual gathering may include online games, active play workshops, and in-depth video chats. At the end of the Book Club, we plan a celebration party with a possible field trip to Dr. Drew’s Reusable Resources Adventure Center in Melbourne, Florida.
